Notebook battery maker Dynapack International Technology has reported strong revenue performance for the third quarter with net profits growing 64.02% sequentially.
Dynapack announced consolidated revenues of NT$6.72 billion (US$222.81 million) for the third quarter, up 26.73% sequentially and 41.46% on year with combined consolidated revenues for the first three quarters of 2011 reaching NT$16.57 billion, up 26.31% on year. The company's net profit for the third quarter reached NT$497 million with a growth of 64.02% on quarter and 50.6% on year and EPS of NT$3.83.
Market watchers pointed out that Dynapack's strong performance in the third quarter was mainly due to Apple's orders, and since Apple's iPad 2 is still dominating the tablet PC market, Dynapack should continue to maintain strong performance for the fourth quarter.
However, fellow Taiwan-based notebook battery maker Celxpert Energy only achieved revenues of NT$3.78 billion for the first-three quarters of 2011 with net profits of negative NT$8.47 million and EPS at negative NT$0.08.
