Taiwan-based ShineMore Technology Materials has revealed plans to expand its CCL production capacity by 25% in 2012, and is also exploring investment opportunities in China.

Monthly capacity at ShineMore's existing plant in Taiwan will top 300,000 sheets, up from the current 240,000 sheets, said company president Thomas Hung. The company is striving for orders from first-tier PCB manufacturers, Hung added.

In addition, ShineMore is planning to invest in China through building a factory or forming a joint venture with local CCL makers, Hung indicated. Relevant applications will be submitted to the Taiwan authorities during
