Kobelco Cranes has launched the S-series version of its newly upgraded mid-range crawler cranes aimed at all markets outside Japan, Europe and North America.
It follows the launch of the G-Series at the ConExpo exhibition during March 2011 in Las Vegas, USA. It was initially aimed at Japan and the USA, and last month was rolled out to the European market.
The S-series covers markets outside Japan, USA and Europe. It comprises 10 models from the CKS, BMS and 7000 ranges, with lifting capacities from 60 to 250 tonnes. They have been newly designed, upgraded and improved with the customer requirements in mind, said the manufacturer.
Features include a maximum 25% less fuel consumption from previous models through a new energy-saving G-Mode assist system. It includes auto idle stop, energy saving winch control and engine RPM limitation system.
Transportability has also been greatly improved, said the manufacturer, with them main carbody being 2.99 m minimum width and 45 tonnes or less in weight. The safety support device monitors the counterweight, swing angle, ground level, overall machine status, while the newly designed cab offers operator comfort.
The counterweight self-installation mechanism means counterweight can be stacked up on the ground and installed on the machine using vertical cylinders. Lasty, the New hydraulic circuit can be adapted for bucket and lifting applications and can be set to dual-pump flow or single-pump flow.
