Lite-On IT, which makes optical disc drives (ODDs), had November consolidated revenues of NT$4.46 billion (US$148 million), decreasing 17.3% on month, according to the company.
The sequential fall was due to seasonality and the impact of flooding in Thailand on its PC-use ODD shipments, Lite-On IT indicated.
However, November shipments of SSDs (solid-state drives) increased by 30% on month, Lite-On IT said, adding PC-use ODDs account for 80% of its consolidated revenues currently, followed by ODDs for game consoles with 10%, in-car ODDs' 5% and SSDs' 2-3%.
Fellow competitor Quanta Storage has also reported November consolidated revenues.
