China-France Agricultural and Agri-food Cooperation Fair (the 2nd International Agriculture Cooperation Forum) was held in Beijing International Convention Center from November 29 to 30.

 State Chief Veterinary Officer Yu Kangzhen, French Vice Minister of Agriculture Eric Allain, and former Chairman Jean Bizet of Agricultural Commission of French Senate attended the fair and delivered opening remarks.

 Qu Sixi, Deputy Director-General of MOA Department of International Cooperation, and his French counterpart Marie-Helene LE HENAFF gave keynote speeches about agricultural development and policies of each country at the main forum themed by China-France Experience Sharing in Agricultural Policies and Modernization, which was attended by more than 400 participants from the two countries.

 The Fair was organized by China Agricultural Association for International Exchange and Europe-China Commercial Union. Through forums, exhibitions, local government promotions and trade talks, it aimed to bridge Chinese and French enterprises for substantive cooperation and exchanges in crop and animal farming, dairy processing, wine-making, and food processing machinery, among other sectors.

 Four specialized forums were organized on grape cultivation, agricultural machinery and food equipment, animal farming, and cropping, in addition to the main forum. Together with Jiamusi Promotion, they contributed to the enhanced mutual understanding and cooperation between Chinese and French enterprises
