Microsoft's Internet Explorer, which held about two-thirds of the Web browser market share in China for a long time, has been losing ground in recent years due to the rise of domestic brands.
According to the newest statistics from iResearch, the number of monthly active users of China's 360 Secure Browser increased from 209 million of the second quarter this year to 235 million of the third quarter.
The combined market share of domestic Web browsers has risen to about 50 percent, if Internet users who use more than one browser are not taken into account.
