CHINA'S central economic work conference is also proving to be a hot topic in Latin America.
Brazil's Global TV Web mentioned the main points from the meeting, and emphasised China would continue to maintain its current "proactive fiscal policy and prudent monetary policy" into next year.
According to the Latin American news network, the meeting set the direction of China's economic development in the next five years. It says China will stabilise economic growth in 2012 and rise steadily, in spite of the economic turmoil in Europe and the U.S.
Meanwhile, the Chile Daily website also reported on the meeting, saying 2012 is the crucial year for China's 12th Five Year Plan and that the Chinese government will expand domestic demand.
Ricardo Rezende, professor of School of Economics, Uni. of Sao Paulo, said, "There's no doubt that China's economic policies are catching people's attention worldwide. Brazil has a specific research regarding to China's economy and five years plan. To assess the result of five year plan implement. And everytime it shows that China always achieved its economic goals - a crucial factor to the global economy. I think China has the ability to develop its economy better and better."
