After receiving its second Airbus A380 jet airliner, China Southern Airlines has recently increased its A380 frequency on the Beijing-Guangzhou route to twice daily and started to operate A380 Beijing-Shanghai service on a daily basis.

Given the great popularity of luxury first-class seats among business travelers, the airline plans to increase the first class fares on the two routes by 800 yuan and 1,190 yuan respectively from Jan. 1, 2012.

Since the beginning of the commercial operation of its first Airbus A380 on Oct. 17, China Southern Airlines has sold all the tickets for its A380-operated flights at full price, except the tickets for ordinary first-class seats which have been sold at slightly discounted prices.

The average passenger load factor of its A380-operated flights has been around 90 percent. Starting next month, the luxury first class fare will rise from 3,160 yuan to 3,960 yuan on the Beijing-Shanghai route and from 4,760 yuan to 5,950 yuan on the Beijing-Guangzhou route.
