DECEMBER 26 -- Zhangjiagang Furui Special Equipment (300228), a producer of LNG equipment, heat exchange equipment, and gas separation equipment, forecasts a 50-70 percent year-on-year rise in 2011 net profit to between 67.95 million yuan and 77.01 million yuan, reports China Business News, citing a company filing.

The company, which debuted in June, posted a 77.50 percent year-on-year growth in revenue to 577 million yuan during the first three quarters, while net profit rose 55.91 percent to 51 million yuan.

Furui Special Equipment capitalized on the rapid growth of the LNG market, according to the report.

An analyst at Zheshang Securities said automobiles powered by LNG possess advantages in the areas of environmental protection and cost compared with traditional vehicles.

Gas sufficiency, a higher density of gas stations, and advances in production techniques had helped the LNG industry to record high growth rates, added the analyst.

The analyst predicts that demand for trucks and passengers cars that run on LNG will record growth rates of more than 140 percent over the next three years.
