The much anticipated annual result of daily deals industry was published finally yesterday. Daily deals portal website tuan800.com released 2011 Daily Deals Industry Report, showing that the total trading volume of domestic daily deals market amounted 11 billion yuan with a same-period increase of 550%, there were more than 300 million consumers that bought daily deal offerings with food becoming the most popular category and the consumer spending in the industry stood at 30.6 billion yuan that accounted for 0.23% of total retail volume of consumer market in urban areas.

 

The report showed that the industry recorded an average of 64% discount, saving over 19 billion yuan for consumers, 15.6 billion yuan more than that in 2010.
