Gasgoo.com (Shanghai February 6) - Nissan China has recently released its sales performance results for 2011, Beijing News reported today. According to the results, a total of 1.24 million Nissan and Infiniti branded vehicles were sold in China last year, representing a 21.9 percent increase from 2010.
Dongfeng Nissan was responsible for the majority of the sales, selling a total of 808,440 vehicles, while sister joint venture Zhengzhou Nissan sold 115,518 vehicles, increasing 22.4 percent and 15.4 percent, respectively. Meanwhile, Infiniti sales in 2011 totaled 19,075 units.
Nissan has set a Chinese sales target of 1.35 million vehicles for this year.
