Compal Electronics shipped 2.1 million notebooks in January, the lowest monthly level since December 2008, according to Chinese-language newspaper Economic Daily News (EDN).

Compal also shipped 150,000 tablet PCs and 300,000 LCD TVs in January, EDN indicated.

Compal brought in consolidated revenues of NT$43.75 billion (US$1.48 billion) for January, dropping 17% on month and 18% on year, EDN noted.
