Acer saw its non-consolidated revenues of NT$27.201 (US$920 million) for January fall 17.66% on month and 18.47% on year.
Although still under impact of hard disk drive (HDD) shortage due to flooding in Thailand, Acer still expects significant performance for first-quarter 2012, according to company chairman JT Wang. As the negative impact is expected to decrease, Acer' operation will improve in the second quarter, he added.
