China Life Insurance Co, the country's largest insurer, announced Tuesday that it has appointed Yang Mingsheng as its chairman, replacing Yuan Li, who resigned over job changes.
Yuan tendered his resignation to the Board of Directors on Tuesday due to changes in job duties, China Life said in a statement on its website.
At its annual shareholders meeting, Yang was elected executive director and then appointed the new chairman at the board meeting, according to the statement.
Yang, 57, worked as vice chairman of the China Insurance Regulatory Commission for the past five years after leaving the Agricultural Bank of China.
