HSBC Bank China opened a new branch in Chongqing City today to expand its network for agricultural businesses, the lender said.
"HSBC stepped up its network expansion and services for rural banking," said Li Huiqian, managing director of rural banking at HSBC China. "By expanding service outlets, we have an improved multi-layer network to provide sustainable financing support to China's rural economy."
The lender currently has 12 rural banking outlets across the country.
The new outlet will provide a wide range of agriculture related loans, with strengthened funding support especially to small and micro agri-business, the lender said.
