Beijing-based holdings company Oak Pacific Interactive has established a wholly-owned subsidiary in Nanning, Guangxi province, and transferred all assets related to its online community Mop.com to the new company. Mop.com CEO Sun Suojun will become CEO of the new company, Meili Chuanshuo Co., Ltd., which will focus on building e-commerce services, online cultural products, and virtual currency and virtual items-related businesses.
The new subsidiary also signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Guangxi TV in Nanning today, and Mop.com has officially moved its offices from Beijing to the city.
Not including personnel shared with SNS platform operator Renren (NYSE: RENN), Mop.com's Beijing office had over 100 employees.
