Mobileye mainly engages in developing vision system with vehicle driving assistance technology. Its machine vision development center located at Har Hotzvim Industrial Park of Jerusalem is the largest one in the world.
Mobileye’s core technology is EyeQ processor (currently in G3) and related algorithm, which features that several APPs can be bundled with only-one camera, and simultaneously run on a camera with EyeQ™ processor. Therefore, ADAS technology of Mobileye can greatly reduce costs.
From 2007-2013, number of vehicle model applying Mobileye ADAS system increased from 5 to 109, showing a CAGR of 66%.
Global assembly amount of Mobileye’s EyeQ chip totaled 1 million pieces in 2012 since the first chip was applied in 2007. As of March 31, 2014, vehicles equipped with EyeQ chip had hit 3.3 million units worldwide. Now Mobileye holds a share of 80% in global camera-based ADSA system chip and software market.
