   Date:2015/10/23
China has dealt with 1,467 kinds of imported automobiles with defects which totaled 600,000 from January to September in 2015. There were 84 kinds of them called back the number of which amounted at 598,000, pointed out Sun Wenkang, director of Inspection and Supervision Department of National Bureau of Quality Inspection (short for NBQI) in China, when taking interview by the official website of China’s government.

It is said that the recall of products by imported automobile manufacturers has been increasing. As a result, the quality of imported automobiles attracts more attention from the whole society than before. According to Sun Wenkang, the increasing recall of imported automobiles does not mean the decrease of quality but that manufacturers have to take more responsibilities for the production and use of their products.

NBQI has strengthened the supervision on imported automobiles by establishing a closed-loop supervision system which covers market admission, port inspection, follow-up supervision, recall and three packs of policy which guarantees replacement, repair and return of defected products.

Based on the official data, in the last three quarters in 2015, more than 1,700 officials of ChinaEntry-ExitInspectionandQuarantine (short for C.I.Q) at all levels have been sent to carry out spot checks on more than 800 franchisers of imported automobiles to make sure weather they have performed their obligation of recall and three packs of policy.

Besides, NBQI has upgraded its informative management by implementing QR codes service. There have been more than 745,000 pieces of QR codes labeled on imported automobiles. Scanning the QR codes, customers can receive quality and safety information of the imported automobiles for reference when wanting to buy imported automobiles.
