August 15 -- China Eastern Airlines (600115,0670.HK) posted a 5.32 percent year-on-year increase in passenger throughput to 9.528 billion in July, reports Yicai.com, citing a company filing.

Cargo and mail throughput increased 27.46 percent year-on-year to 428.51 million tons.

The company posted passenger load factor of 83 percent in July, down 0.21 percentage point.

Passenger throughput in the first seven months rose 11.92 percent year-on-year to 57.954 billion, while cargo and mail throughput fell 4.58 percent to 2.346 billion tons.
