Dow Jones reported that China's Ministry of Land and Resources issued exploration permits for separate shale gas blocks to China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation and Henan Provincial Coal Seam Gas Development & Utilization Co., according to the ministry. The two companies formally signed deals with the ministry after winning its auction for the Nanchuan and Xiushan shale gas blocks.
