Minmetals Resources (01208.HK) said that it was notified by its ultimate controlling shareholder, China Minmetals Corporation (CMC), of a reorganisation to be implemented by CMC pursuant to which certain changes will be made to the structure in which CMC will hold its controlling interest in Minmetals Resources.

Minmetals Resources understands that the purpose of the reorganisation is to consolidate and integrate the non-ferrous metals operations of CMC and its subsidiaries in accordance with the development strategy of the non-ferrous metals business of CMC.

After the reorganisation, CMC's shareholding in China Minmetals Corporation Limited, which holds an indirect 67% equity interest in Minmetals Resources, will fall from 96.5% to 87.5%.
