July 20 -- BYD (002594, 1211.HK) will inject 1.48 billion yuan into several of its subsidiaries, reports China Business News, citing a company filing.
The maker of batteries and automobiles will inject $180 million into Shenzhen BYD Automobiles in order to boost the latter’s registered capital from $268 million to $448 million.
BYD will inject 130 million yuan into Shenzhen BYD Lithium Battery in order to boost the latter’s registered capital from 30 million yuan to 160 million yuan.
In addition, BYD will jointly boost BYD Automobiles’ registered capital from 1.25 billion yuan to 1.351 billion yuan through an injection of 100 million yuan, while Shaanxi Investment (Group) Corporation will inject 1.01 million yuan.
BYD will also inject 90 million yuan into Tibet Shigatse Zabuye Lithium Technologies for its future development. BYD will continue to have an 18 percent stake in the company.
Shares of BYD rose 4.09 percent to trade at HK$24.30 at 10:05 in Hong Kong today.
