October 21 -- Consumer electronics maker Hisense Electric (600060.SH) posted a 93.73 percent year-on-year increase in net profit to 886 million yuan during the first three quarters of 2011, with earnings per share (EPS) of 1.022 yuan, reports yicai.com, citing a company filing.

The company reported a 75.07 percent year-on-year increase in third quarter net profit to 368 million yuan, with EPS of 0.424 yuan.

Sales revenue totaled 16.464 billion yuan during the first three quarters, of which third quarter sales revenue was 6.66 billion yuan.

Hisense Electric manufactures television sets, set top boxes, CMOS chips, refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines, and small home appliances.
