BEIJING, Oct. 24 (Xinhuanet) -- There will be a major exhibition of everything from giftware to jewelry and beyond at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre later this month, following closely on the heels of the Canton Fair, just across the border in Guangzhou, Guangdong province.
Mega Show Part 2, which is now in its ninth year, is an essential sourcing event held every October, just as Phase 2 of the Canton Fair closes.
Asian and international suppliers have all of their giftware, housewares, household items, jewelry and accessories as well as stationery and school and office supplies, on display.
The focus is not only on everyday items but on new products, innovations and export quality and it also aimed at buyers looking for well-made, profit-making products.
This year's show takes place Oct 27-29 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, in Wanchai, on Hong Kong Island.
There will be more than 900 booths for suppliers from all over the world, with Belgium, Italy, the United Kingdom, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, the Philippines, and Vietnam putting in a major appearance, and of course China as well as its Hong Kong special administrative region and Taiwan province.
Nearly 200 new companies will be joining the show for the first time this year, bringing many new products to market.
There is a parallel event covering lighting, hardware, and decoration materials that runs during the last week of October in Hong Kong, which is all the more reason for buyers to take a look at this wide range of products from the Asian suppliers on show.
This year, the layout has been reconfigured for buyers' convenience with three clearly-defined halls and four distinct product groupings, to provide easier navigation around the show venue.
With the increasingly strong response each year, Mega Show Part 2 has established a reputation as the final sourcing port of call for value, volume and variety for thousands of buyers in Hong Kong.
