Tingyi mulls listing beverageunit

Instant noodle maker Tingyi Holdings (0322) may consider listing its beverage unit after setting up a partnership with PepsiCo Inc last Friday.
Chairman Wei Ing-chou said yesterday the firm is seeking to float Tingyi-Asahi Beverages Holdings, a joint venture with Japanese brewer Asahi Group. Tingyi shares rose 9.4 percent to HK$22.75.
