Far East Consortium International (00035.HK) says that it has purchased part of the 3.625% bonds due 2015 in the principal amount of HK$20 million representing 2.84% of the outstanding principal amount of HK$703 million as of 12 December 2011.

As a result of the above event, the outstanding principal amount of the bonds as at 15 December 2011 was HK$683 million with the conversion price of the bonds being HK$3.3.
