Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) approved 2,053 foreign direct investment projects (except from China) totaling US$4.482 billion during January-November 2011, respectively increasing 11.45% and 34.55% on year, according to MOEA statistics.

During the same period, MOEA approved 277 outward direct investment projects (except in China) proposed by Taiwan-based companies or individuals totaling US$3.578 billion, respectively rising 21.49% and 40.14% on year.

Also in January-November, MOEA approved 98 investment projects proposed by China-based firms with a total value of US$42.790 million. On the other hand, there were 530 approved projects of direct investment in China proposed by Taiwan-based companies or individuals with a total amount of US$12.413 billion, increasing 30.54% and 22.10% respectively on year.
