Guodian Nanjing Automation Co., Ltd. (referred to as SAC) is located in Nanjing, the People's Republic of China. SAC is the first state-run high scientific and technical enterprise of the former State Power Cooperation of China publicly listed in Shanghai Stock Exchange from 1999. The predecessor of SAC was Nanjing Electric Power Automation Equipment General Factory, founded in 1940. SAC now is one of the most important manufacturers and suppliers of electric power automation& correlated products and services in China.

The DS3000 dispatching automation main station system is a new generation of SCADA/EMS system, which is integrated with the latest computer technology and independently researched & developed by SAC in accordance with the latest standard of power system automation. This system has a totally open and distributive Client/Server system structure on the basis of IEC CIM/CIS technical standard, orienting the power dispatching centers of various levels. The system is comprised of integrated platform system, SCADA dispatching system, and EMS advanced application system, of which the EMS core algorithm adopts the product of the Tsinghua-SAC Dispatch Automation Institute founded by the cooperation with Tsinghua University. The product has functions, such as dispatching, monitoring, calculation, forecasting, analysis and management, providing a modern tool to assure the safe and economical operation of power grid, ensure the quality of electric energy, equipment management, improve work efficiency, and customer service quality, among others.
