“It is not an unrealistic goal for Suning to take in 30 billion yuan in sales this year,” said its president Jin Ming in an interview yesterday.
Suning had only two stores when it started its business in Guangzhou nine years ago and the store count in the city was 233. However, Jin Ming put more attention on the retailer’s business diversification and e-commerce rather than bricks-and-mortar stores.
In January when the sales of TV and air conditioner were decreasing, Suning said that its online sales will increase by 4to 5 folds and it will focus more on diversified development.
