McDonald’s to Quicken Remodeling Process

   Date:2012-03-14
McDonald’s is moving faster on its remodeling plan in China. Ten of its existing stores in Guangzhou were opened for business again yesterday with their new image. The fast food retailer planned to finish the remodeling work in 70% of locations in China, according to a representative from the company.
McDonald’s adopted “Less Is More” concept in the process, which was originated from Europe, and part of its stores also had space where children could play digital games or host a party.
Its remodeling plan started from 2010 and the spending on each store was millions of yuan, similar to the requirement of opening a new one. There are already 400 remodeled restaurants in China now, said the representative.
