Marvell was named "China’s Most Favorite Semiconductor Brand of 2011” by two of the most authoritative electronics media, China Electronics News and www.cena.com.cn (the Electronic Information Industry Network), both under the administration of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. This was the first time for Marvell to participate in the competition and it became the only semiconductor company named in the TD and mobile communications fields. Marvell is recognized by its growing brand power, outstanding sales and marketing capabilities, high-performance products and quality services, as well as its increasing R&D investment in the local market and commitment to technological innovation.

Jointly organized by the China Electronics News and www.cena.com.cn, "China’s Most Favorite Semiconductor Brand” is an annual competition to recognize the outstanding semiconductor companies in the Chinese market. Celebrating its 7th anniversary, the competition received a total of 32 applications from semiconductor companies in October 2011. After an online vote and expert review held at the end of February 2012, 11 companies including Marvell became the final winners.  The result was jointly announced by the China Electronics News and China Semiconductor Industry Association（CSIA） at the 2012 China's IC Industry Conference, held in Suzhou, Jiangsu province on Mar. 15, 2012.

Other global industry leading suppliers including Intel, NXP, Broadcom, Freescale, Fujitsu, Renesas Electronics and Xilinx also won the award.
