Reaping 75% sales growth in 2015, JAC expects zero growth for 2016 in China

Despite the overall slowdown in Chinese auto market, JAC has managed to increase its year-to-date passenger vehiclesales75% from a year earlier to 350,000 units thanks to the preferential environment in the alternative energy vehicle market in China.
 
However, An Jin Chairman of JAC views this success with much rational thinking by remarking that the relatively high growth rate this year is contributed by the relatively low cardinal number of the company’s sales a year earlier. And this is a hard-won accomplishment of perseverance and assiduous work. While celebrating this year’s achievements, they have made their prudent plan for next year.
 
According to An Jin, the production or sales goal for the year of 2016 still remains 600,000 units nearly the same of this year. A possible “zero sales growth” is expected for the next year. The enterprise plans to lay more emphasis on technique progress, industry structure improvement and energy saving and emission reduction.
 
An Jin also divulges that the automaker has built a brand new electric SUV based on the platform of SUV—s2. The new model can accelerate in around 5 seconds within 50 kilometers, enjoying a distance per charge of 300 kilometers, which is especially cater to the needs of urban drivers.
 
As for the “zero growth”, An Jin explains that Chinese market may undergo a light slide after the Spring Festival next year as the recent momentum in Chinese auto market is abnormal and transient. Since the enterprise has anticipated the increasing challenges it will face next year including pressures from structure change, purchase restrictions and traffic restrictions, JAC plans to improve its industry structure and production quality.
