Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile Co. aims to sell 770,000 vehicles this year, up 9 percent from 2015.
To achieve that target, the joint venture expects to sell 440,000 Peugeot vehicles and 330,000 Citroens.
In January, the company delivered 72,453 vehicles, up 13 percent year on year. The number includes 41,454 Peugeots and 30,999 Citroens.
Dongfeng Peugeot, a 50-50 partnership between PSA Peugeot Citroen and China's Dongfeng Motor Corp., assembles and distributes Peugeot and Citroen vehicles, but not the Citroen DS lineup.
PSA's other Chinese joint venture, Changan PSA Automobile Co., produces the Citroen DS lineup in China. It has yet to disclose January sales.
