China Unicom (Hong Kong) Ltd. CHU(sehk:0762)(and shse:600050) is considering to bring in a new model of high-end commercialized mobile phone, a person with news says on September 8.

This mobile phone is oriented towards high-end customers who pursue fashion. Two typed of WCDMA cards are provided for the above-mentioned 3G dual-standby mobile phone.

For this new dual-standby mobile phone, China Unicom this time cooperates with a veteran domestic mobile phone manufacturer, Yulong Computer Telecommunication Scientific (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., which is famous for its mobile model, CoolPAD. China Unicom launched its first dual-mode mobile phone, namely, World Wind, in July 2004, and the developer of World Wind was Yulong CoolPAD.

China Unicom has the most 3G network users in China, so it is confident launching the aforementioned mobile phone. Yulong CoolPAD has successfully developed this mobile phone, a person who participants in this project says, but he is not clear when China Unicom will put the phone into market.
