Taiwan-based LED firm Lextar reported August revenues of NT$880 million (US$30.3 million), representing sequential growth of 16%. Lextar stated the revenues from lighting have reached 40%. Unity Opto reported August revenues of NT$510 million, a slight 0.5% decrease on month.

Unity Opto pointed out that the orders from China-based TV brands have been returning in August and will likely continue throughout September. However, the demand from Europe and US markets continue to be flat.

Demand of LED lighting from Japan continues to grow due to government policies. Lextar has been receiving LED light tube orders from Japan-based customers.
