Sony Computer Entertainment Inc's PlayStation Vita portable video game player is shown during a news conference in Tokyo yesterday. The PlayStation Vita is going on sale in Japan on December 17 with the sale of 26-game software on the same day, but it won't be available overseas until next year. Sony expects the upgraded machine to narrow the sales gap with Nintendo Co's 3DS.
