Hanting Inns & Hotels announced on December 28 that it will accelerate the expansion of its medium- and high-end brand Hanting Seasons Hotel, which has 23 locations at present and will hae 50-60 new ones per year in the coming 2-3 years.
Hanting said that the total number of new hotels this year was over 200 and it will maintain its expansion rate next year. For the whole hotel group, Hanting Seasons Hotel will be its main focus of development in the future as its gross margin is 20% higher than that of economy hotel brands.
Chen Jun, general manager of Hanting Seasons Hotel, said that Hanting Seasons Hotel was a medium- and high-end hotel brand with features from serviced apartments and was priced between 300 and 500 yuan per day. “We have a relative blank in the medium- and high-end hotel market. It is more profitable than economy hotel brands though we have to invest about 100,000 yuan more for every room. The expansion of such a brand will make Hanting better serve customers of various levels,” said Chen Jun.
