Senao International, a Taiwan-based retail chain of handsets and other consumer electronics, has reported revenues of NT$2.94 billion (US$99.44 million) for February, down 8% on month but up 51.6% on year.
Sales of smartphones by Senao accounted for nearly 60% of smartphones sold in Taiwan's retail channels in 2011, and the ratio is expected to hit 60% in 2012, Senao indicated.
Senao will also strengthen its cooperation with China Unicom to promote the sale of sub-CNY1,000 (US$158) 3G smartphones in China, with plans to set up 200 additional sales outlets in Jiangsu province initially, said the company.
