Sales structure tends to be high-end
Apart from high increase, alternative energy vehicles face an in-depth adjustment compared with the previous month in January. Alternative energy passenger vehicles in a narrow range have an overall good performance and increase 183% to 13,748 units in sales, decreasing 63% compared with December. PHEVs increase 146% to 5,966 units, decreasing 36% with December. BEVs increase 219% to 7,782 units, decreasing 72% with December. The overall performance of BEVs is better but PHEVs have a steadier monthly growth.

Sales structure changes greatly
PHEVs account for 43% in alternative energy passenger vehicles in January, lifting slightly compared with 36% in 2015. Cars are replacing MPV/SUV as main BEV products. PHEVs have a diversified product item, with SUVs performing better and HEV models leading the trend.

AOO-classvehicles, accounting for 63% BEVs in 2015, together with AO-class vehicles, are main forces of BEVs. But A-class vehicles grow 15% in January, a result of the temporary adjustment of AOO-class vehicles.

PHEVs are mainly composed of B-class vehicles, with BYD Qin and Roewe 550 as the main force. High-end PHEVs, represented by BMW 5 and other joint venture products, also have a good performance. B-class HEV models, such as Tang, grow fast in January and point out the future trend.
